How to generate a server license key
To run a FiveM server, you need a License Key from the official FiveM website. Without it, your server won't be listed.

Access Keymaster
Go to keymaster.fivem.net and log in with your cfx.re account.

Register New Server
Click 'New Server'. Fill in details: Server name, Server type (VPS/Dedicated), and Server IP.

Copy Key
After creation, a long code (e.g., cfxk_...) will appear. Copy this code entirely.

Add Key to Server
Go to server.cfg and paste the key into the 'sv_licenseKey' field. Save and restart server.

Key Usage Rules
- Each server needs its own unique key.
- Ensure you enter the correct Server IP when generating the key.
- Do not share your key, as it is linked to your account.
- If you change hosting, you may need to update the IP on Keymaster.

Is a FiveM license key free?
Yes. Sign in to Keymaster with your Cfx.re account and create a key for each server at no cost. Paid Cfx.re subscriptions only add benefits such as more player slots.
I lost my license key. How do I get it back?
Sign in to Keymaster again; your keys are listed there and you can copy the same key or create a new one. Replace the value in sv_licenseKey and restart the server.
Can I use one key on two servers?
Create a separate key for each server. Sharing one key between servers can make one of them fail the license check.
The server starts but says the key is invalid. Why?
Check for spaces or quotes copied by mistake, make sure the line is not commented out with #, and confirm the key was not deleted in Keymaster. If it still fails, create a new key.
